(Eric is listening to a message left on his answering machine)
Voice on Answering Machine: Blah blah blah blah blah bladdity blah blah blah blah blah...
Eric: Why do people leave such long messages? I don't want to hear your thoughts on the world. Just say your name and your phone number. Heck, I don't even want your phone number, because if I don't know it, I probably don't know you, and I don't want to talk to you. And if I do know you, I still don't want to talk to you.
(Eric unplugs the answering machine and throws it into the trash)
Paul: Why did you do that for?
Eric: Technology made simple.
